I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! has roared back onto Australian television, delivering its biggest launch audience in three years and record-breaking streaming numbers for Network 10.

The Season 12 premiere finished number one in its timeslot nationally, reinforcing the long-running reality franchise’s status as one of Australia’s most reliable entertainment performers.

According to the network, the launch episode averaged 925,000 total national viewers, marking its strongest premiere since 2022.

Digital viewing proved to be a standout, with the biggest-ever streaming audience for the program, up 33 per cent year-on-year, while the total BVOD audience jumped 47 per cent compared to the same night last year.

Across broadcast and streaming platforms, the premiere reached 3.76 million Australians, underlining the show’s continued strength as a multi-platform event.

The episode also delivered commanding demographic results, posting audience shares of 39.6 per cent in 25-54s and 38.3 per cent in 16-39s.

The ratings success coincided with the official introduction of the Season 12 cast, welcomed into the jungle by hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris.

Celebrities were split into three teams for their first challenges, setting the tone for the season ahead.

Early arrivals included Rachel Hunter, Barry Williams and digital creator Mia Fevola, who were tasked with repairing the Jungle Telecommunications Hub.

Another group featuring Rebekah Elmaloglou, Luke Bateman, Nath Valvo and Deni Hines were given a dramatic airborne entry, while Gary Sweet, Dyson Heppell and Concetta Caristo were initially led to believe they had an easy path into camp – before discovering otherwise.

Fevola’s appearance marked a full-circle moment for her family – her father, Brendan Fevola, famously won Season 2 in 2015.
