COMMUNITY organisations across Ipswich are being encouraged to apply for grants of up to $5000 through the CleanCo Community Futures Fund.
The fund supports projects that strengthen community wellbeing and deliver lasting local benefits in Ipswich, where CleanCo operates the Swanbank E Gas-Fired Power Station and the Swanbank Battery.
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organisations, community events and services such as daycare groups and sporting clubs, First Nations initiatives, educational institutions and environmental associations.
Successful projects must be delivered within 12 months of receiving funding.
CleanCo Community Performance Manager Natasha Shaw said the Community Futures Fund continues to create meaningful outcomes for Ipswich communities.
“CleanCo’s community sponsorship initiatives, including the Community Futures Fund, have shared more than $380,000 in funding with communities across Queensland over the past three years,” Ms Shaw said.
“Our support has helped local groups upgrade facilities, invest in new equipment and deliver events that bring people together.”
Since 2023, the fund has supported a range of initiatives across Queensland.
Ipswich recipients have included the West Moreton Health Foundation – Ipswich Hospital Foundation for care packs and turbans for its Wig Lounge; North Ipswich Bowls Club for new bench seating; the Sudanese-Australian Lost Boys and Girls of South Sudan for its Supporting School Success program; Ipswich Knights Soccer Club for equipment upgrades; and the Marburg and Districts Residents’ Association for a solar panel installation.
The first funding round for 2026 closes at 5pm on Monday, March 30.
Application details are available on CleanCo Queensland’s website.
