RESIDENTS, businesses and emergency services in the Illinbah Valley now have a safer and more reliable connection, following the completion of the new Price Creek Bridge.
The two-lane concrete bridge, near the intersection of Upper Coomera Rd and Rowe Rd, was delivered by Scenic Rim Regional Council through the Flood Recovery and Resilience Package, with $3.83 million in funding from the Australian Government’s Emergency Response Fund.
For residents across Illinbah, Tabletop, Gray, Rowe and Price Creek Roads, the bridge is a vital piece of infrastructure.
The new higher-level concrete bridge has been designed to significantly reduce the risk of inundation, improving access, resilience and confidence in the local road network.
Federal Minister for Emergency Management Kristy McBain said the project was about protecting communities.
“As we approach higher-risk weather seasons, investments like this are critical to safeguarding homes, businesses and essential services.”
