Supanova Comic Con is coming to Brisbane Convention Centre on November 5-6.

This event has been the welcoming home of Australia’s pop culture fandom since 2000; a place where fans inspired by imaginary worlds emanating from comics, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, nostalgia and literature.

A place to rejoice in cosplay (‘costume role- ‘play’) in expressing your inner geek or your inner child.

At the heart of it though is the opportunity Supanova provides to aspiring talent, artists and creators as a local national platform to showcase their work to an adoring public that enjoy and enthusiastically embrace newly invented worlds.

One of the rising stars this year is Ipswich based local Duncan Cunningham the founder of Killer Comics.

Some of his credits include creator of the comic series “CE”, the stand alone comic “Killnowski”, as well as upcoming comic “Destroyers”.

He also produced and directed the feature film “Foresight Killer Instinct” streaming on Amazon Prime and celebrating its 10-year anniversary next year. CE is a comic series he has been working on for 10 years.

A series of three volumes (or 12 issues), CE is a unique and exciting local production with a readership in Australia and the United States.

Duncan’s Killer Comics team, fresh after completing “CE”, are currently working on “Destroyers” a Viking themed comic series.

They have already built a sizable social media following.
