Cooper Bell and Marlgun Wagner show off their Creative Generation Excellence Awards

The Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art recognise and promote excellence in senior visual art education throughout Queensland state and nonstate schools.

This year 504 submissions from 173 schools were submitted for judging.

From this number, 92 works were shortlisted with 30 Excellence winners and seven Regional Encouragement awardees.

At the opening night of the 2022 Metropolitan Regional Exhibition for Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art, two Year 12 Ipswich Grammar School Visual Art Students received the following awards:

Excellence Award-Cooper Bell.
Commendation Award- Marlgun Wagner. Cooper is one 30 excellence winners- this central exhibition is the pinnacle of the program in which excellence-awarded artworks are exhibited at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane.

QAGOMA provides a world-class facility in which to view the student exhibition, offering a once-in a lifetime opportunity for many aspiring artists.

Congratulations to these two incredible young artists. and Ipswich Grammar School.
