We are lucky to have so many talented creatives in our city, and we know our arts and cultural scene contributes to a strong sense of community.

As part of the SPARK Festival Ipswich City Council hosted our third 2023 Creators of Ipswich Summit.

The Summit is about bringing together our region’s creative community to discuss, debate and coordinate Ipswich’s approach to the arts.

The program featured several workshops and discussions and especially amazing was the keynote speaker Christine Anu who grave a heart-warming, inspiring and provoking talk as well as entertained us with her magical performance.

Over 60 local artists from visual and performance attended the 2023 Summit and I’m sure all took something back to their creative practices.

Courtney Strow from the Ipswich City Council had the task of bringing this event together and she excelled herself.
