POWERCRUISE promised something massive for its milestone 100th event – and it delivered in spectacular fashion at Queensland Raceway last weekend.
Powered by Oz Wheels, Powercruise 100 transformed the Ipswich circuit into a week-long celebration of horsepower, music and automotive culture, attracting what organisers described as the biggest crowd ever seen at the venue. From the moment the gates opened, Queensland Raceway was alive with tough street cars, wild builds and thousands of passionate fans.
The atmosphere continued to build throughout the week before reaching another level across the main weekend.
Every corner of the venue was buzzing. The cruising sessions packed the circuit with an incredible variety of machinery, while the powerskids, burnouts, off-street racing and other headline events delivered the tyre smoke and high-powered action Powercruise has become famous for.
It was more than a car event – it was a full-scale festival.
Once the engines began to cool, the entertainment continued with some of Australia’s best-known live acts taking over the stage. Taxiride brought its unmistakable catalogue of hits to Queensland Raceway, while Shannon Noll had the enormous crowd singing along and embracing the party atmosphere.
The sight of thousands of people gathered around the stage, surrounded by some of the country’s toughest cars, perfectly captured what Powercruise 100 was all about.
A huge fireworks display lit up the night sky, adding another spectacular moment to an event already overflowing with highlights.
With a record-breaking crowd, huge on-track action, major live bands, spectacular fireworks and an atmosphere unlike anything previously experienced at Queensland Raceway, the milestone event set a new benchmark for the Powercruise brand.
