QUEENSLAND Raceway is preparing to come alive with tyre smoke, screaming engines and an unbeatable festival atmosphere when Spring Drift Matsuri returns this October.
Recognised as one of Australia’s biggest drifting events, Spring Matsuri brings together a huge field of drivers for a high-energy celebration of drifting and modified-car culture.
From experienced competitors throwing down fast tandem runs to grassroots drivers enjoying valuable track time, the event offers something for every kind of drift fan.
Across the weekend, spectators will be treated to two days of non-stop action spread across four different track formats.
Drifting will take place on the Queensland Raceway main circuit, wet skidpan and the venue’s dedicated Drift Playground, providing plenty of variety and countless opportunities to see cars pushed to their limits.
Tandem battles, large drift trains and aggressive solo runs will keep the smoke rolling throughout the event.
With drivers coming from across Queensland and beyond, the variety of machinery is always one of the biggest attractions. Expect everything from classic Japanese favourites and highly developed competition cars to European builds and tough Australian machines.
However, Spring Matsuri is about much more than what happens on the track.
