The Garrett Advancing Motion Jamboree turned it up another level at Willowbank Raceway last weekend, with three days of fast cars, record-breaking performances and plenty happening both on and off the track.
For the first time in the event’s history, Jamboree was run across three days, and the move proved popular with racers, teams and fans travelling from across Australia and around the world to be part of one of the biggest weekends on the sport compact calendar.
As expected, the racing delivered.
Willowbank Raceway was treated to some seriously quick passes across the weekend, with personal bests, track performances and records falling as competitors continued to push the limits of what these cars are capable of.
From rotaries screaming through the gears to high horsepower four and six-cylinder combinations, there was no shortage of variety.
The level of machinery on show continues to climb each year, and the 2026 Jamboree again proved just how serious the sport compact scene has become.
But Jamboree has never been just about what happens once the Christmas tree drops.
Away from the drag strip, there was plenty to keep the crowd entertained throughout the three-day event, with displays, traders, show cars and entertainment creating plenty of atmosphere around the venue.
It gave families and race fans plenty to see between rounds and helped create the festival-style feel Jamboree has become known for.
The international presence was also hard to miss with Rod Harvey over from New Zealand back in the five second range with his Toyota.
For longtime Jamboree fans, there was still everything they have come to expect. Wild cars, big horsepower, packed staging lanes and teams chasing that unmistakable billet J trophy.
