Readers befuddled by puzzling omission

EVERYONE makes mistakes. And the right thing to do when you make one is apologise and put the wrong right.

Yes, it wasn’t a great idea to drop our puzzles page. We thought our readers might enjoy some material about the Melbourne Cup – and I’m sure lots of you did.

But as several readers let me know – many of you really look forward to doing the puzzles and you missed them this week.

So allow me to say I’m sorry. The puzzles are back this week – you can find them on Page 18. Sometimes we lose sight of why people pick our paper up. We hope that we’re bringing you the best of the good news about the Ipswich region and of course some might enjoy reading John’s gardening column.

But some just love a sudoku or a crossword with their morning cuppa. I know I do.

So thank you to those who reached out to me to let me know they were disappointed. We’re always very happy to hear from you. If you know of events you think we should cover, get in touch.
