QUEENSLAND Raceway was absolutely pumping on Friday night as the inaugural CandyNats delivered an incredible mix of wild street machines, a massive crowd and an atmosphere that had to be experienced to be believed.
The brainchild of Troy Candy, the first-ever CandyNats brought together some of Queensland’s toughest and most impressive cars for a night that was about much more than simply putting rubber on the track.
It was a celebration of car culture, horsepower and the people who live and breathe the automotive scene.
From the moment the gates opened, it was clear this wasn’t going to be an ordinary Friday night at Queensland Raceway. Thousands of spectators descended on the Willowbank venue, with traffic banked up all the way past the Ripley turn off, with huge crowds filling the pit area and lining the circuit to get a look at the incredible cars on display.
From immaculate high-end street builds to seriously angry horsepower monsters, the variety and quality of vehicles were a major talking point.
Everywhere you looked there was something worth stopping for, with an impressive collection of cars that would be equally at home turning heads at a car show or laying down power on the circuit.
Imagine cruising the track alongside a Koenigsegg Jesko valued at over $US3.4 million!
On track, the action came thick and fast, with a combination of cruising and full-send sessions allowing drivers to enjoy their machines in a controlled environment.
