DUE to an oversight at the Ipswich Art Gallery, Artsconnect’s successful and well supported member’s art exhibition has had to move to a new date this year.

Instead of an end of year exhibition it will now be in the middle of the year and as this date draws nearer Ipswich Artsconnect members are preparing new artworks and craft items for their “Off the Wall” Exhibition.

There will be more than 40 local Ipswich artists taking part of this exhibition, showcasing and selling their artworks at the Ipswich Community Gallery from July 28 to August 5.

There will be several award winning artists exhibiting at this exhibition displaying their artworks including photography, painting, woodwork, glassware and textiles.

Waratah Woodworks is back again this year at Off The Wall.

This is the tenth year this exhibition has been running and this year promises to be bigger and better than previous years. We will have our favourite artists back this year including Mark George, blown glass artist, Waratah Woodworks, textile artist Mieke den Otter, photographer Grant Quinn and a whole new host of artists not displayed previously.

As usual there will be a host of items for sale including one off beautiful hand crafted gift wares for someone special or just treat yourself. As the name of the exhibition states “Off the Wall” any purchases made can be taken home straight away and not have to wait till end of exhibition.

The official opening of the exhibition will be on the July 29 at 3pm.

You will be entertained by the musical talents of Music by Molly whilst there will be a delicious selection of nibbles and drinks. This event will be a stimulation of the senses. Entry is free and will be a family friendly event.

“Off the Wall” will be open daily from 10am to 2.30pm at the Ipswich Community Gallery in d’Arcy Doyle Place.
