THE Federal Government has completed an independent review of infrastructure projects it inherited from the former Coalition Government. The review didn’t favour going ahead with all the inherited projects.

Federal Member for Blair Shayne Neumann worked to ensure that local projects weren’t included in those cut. Specifically, these included the Cunningham Highway (including Amberley Interchange) planning project, the Warrego Highway – Mt Crosby Road Interchange project, and Brisbane Valley Highway safety upgrades.

Other key projects that were confirmed are the Centenary Motorway Upgrade, Ipswich to Springfield (Rail Corridor) Options Analysis, and the Business Case for the Brisbane Inland Rail Intermodal Terminal.

Mr Neumann said, “These vital road projects will address congestion, safety and connectivity along these major corridors, and help boost productivity across our fast-growing region.”
