IPSWICH Jets co-captain Brett Greinke celebrated a major milestone on Sunday afternoon, playing his 100th Hostplus Cup game in a thrilling 22-20 win over the PNG Hunters at North Ipswich Reserve.
The narrow victory marked a fitting way to honour Greinke’s century of appearances, highlighting not only his toughness on the field but also his enduring commitment to the Jets and the Ipswich community.
A proud Ipswich product, Greinke began his rugby league journey at St Peter Claver College, where his passion for the sport first took shape.
His professional career included stints with the Norths Devils and Easts Tigers before he returned home to play for the Jets. Since then, he has grown into a key leader both on and off the field.
Throughout his 100-game career, Greinke has earned a reputation as one of the competition’s most hard-working forwards.
His Jets will now turn their attention to their next challenge, facing the Wynnum Manly Seagulls at BMD Kougari Oval on Saturday, April 26.
