THE second-generation Hyundai Venue is just weeks away from its official reveal, but almost completely undisguised images of the new model have already been captured.

The Australian Venue range was treated to a minor update in 2023, but kept key design details from its 2019 launch.

Overseas, a 2023 update focused on the Indian market saw the Venue adopt a new front end that mimicked the chrome tile grille design from the previous generation Palisade.

The design of the 2026 Venue marks a big leap forward for Aussie audiences, but a smaller step up for other parts of the world.

Design traits like full-width horizontal lighting signatures, front and rear, can clearly be seen on the new model.

The front bumper and grille design align with those of other Hyundai compact SUVs sold overseas, including the Creta and Alcazar, with a rectangular grille that encompasses the headlight housings, split from the daytime running lights higher up.

The Venue also features strongly sculpted wheel arches in a style similar to those of the Hyundai Inster electric SUV, and a prominent faux bash plate on the lower section of the front and rear bumpers.

The new-generation car adds a “six window” glasshouse, with a small window behind the rear doors, giving the compact SUV a longer look and the feeling of greater space inside the cabin.

A small body-coloured insert on the rear window pillar gives the Venue a unique styling touch not yet seen on other SUVs in the Hyundai line-up.

On the inside, the Venue adopts a large curved display housing infotainment and instruments, expected to be formed from a pair of 10.25-inch displays.

While the Venue is expected to continue as an entry-level product in most international markets, its positioning and equipment remain unknown and are expected to vary depending on the market it’s sold in.

Full details of the engine and mechanical specifications are still unknown.

The Venue is set to make its official global debut on November 4 in India.

It’s likely that the version of any future Venue produced in South Korea will form the basis of the eventual Australian-bound model.
