FOUR players from the TAE Aerospace Ipswich Jets have been selected for the Firebirds Futures squad for the 2025 Super Netball Reserves season.
Lily Gribble, Abigail Latu-Meafou, Elsa Sif Sandholt and Dani Taylor will join the side in the upcoming season, which kicks off on Saturday, May 3 at Waverley Netball Centre.
They will face the Melbourne Mavericks in the opening match of the season.
The addition of the Melbourne Mavericks as the eighth Suncorp Super Netball-affiliated team has raised the stakes for the competition.
The revamped 2025 season introduces expanded match play, an in-season tournament, and a revamped Finals Weekend, offering more opportunities for emerging athletes to showcase their skills.
Firebirds Futures Head Coach Jess Whitfort said that after the introduction of Super Netball Reserves last year, it was exciting for the competition to have developed in 2025.
“This year we are hungry to get out there and compete against the best in the country and showcase our emerging talent in this exciting competition,” she said.
