BRISBANE Lions fans – the call has gone out, and now’s the time to answer it.

This Saturday, with kick-off at 6.35pm, Brighton Homes Arena will come alive as our AFLW Lions run out for their sixth straight Preliminary Final, taking on a Carlton side arriving with momentum.

With a Grand Final berth on the line, Springfield is ready to become the heartbeat of the Pride – and every supporter has a role to play.

The Lions enter the prelim in strong form, finishing third with nine wins and three losses. They’ve built serious momentum, notching five consecutive victories over top-tier opponents including Melbourne, Collingwood and Essendon.

Statistically, Brisbane remain one of the league’s most powerful units, averaging 265.8 disposals, 51.8 marks and 40.6 inside 50s per game. They’re a side built on pressure, polish and belief – and they’ll be dialled in from the opening bounce.

Carlton, who finished fifth with eight wins and four losses, won’t arrive quietly. They closed the season strongly and booked their prelim spot with a confident win over Hawthorn.

Their numbers stack up well against Brisbane’s – 263.4 disposals, 49.5 marks and 36.1 inside 50s – and they hold a slight edge in clearances at 23.8 per game to Brisbane’s 23.7.

It’s a tight statistical match-up, the kind where the energy of the crowd can genuinely shift the contest. This is a game that needs noise.

Over in the other prelim,

North Melbourne host Melbourne on Saturday afternoon. The Kangaroos are riding an incredible 25-game winning streak, while the Demons arrive fresh off a strong win over Adelaide.

But for Lions fans, the focus is right here at home.

So pack the stands and lift the team with every clap, chant and roar. The Lions will bring the heat – but it’s the pride in the stands that can turn Brighton Homes Arena into a fortress.
