FORMER World Champion boxer Jeff Horn and Kangaroo representative lock, Bob Lindner, were the special guest speakers at the Brothers Rugby League Club for the annual Men of League fundraiser last Friday.

Horn spoke at length about his career in the ring and his new challenge in life that surrounds educating youngsters about how to combat bullying.

On boxing he dismissed any thoughts of a return to the ring “unless it was for an amazing amount of money.”

Bob Lindner gave some insights on what it was like to tour with the Kangaroos and also spoke at length about the need for more vigilance surrounding concussions.

Funds from the luncheon will help Men of League continue their excellent support work in helping those in need in the league fraternity whether they be men, women, or their children.

Damien Hancocks, Morrie Turner, Jim McGee and Steve Miller were part of the big crowd at the sports luncheon.
