AVEO Springfield is setting a new standard in retirement living with state-of-the-art facilities, high-end apartments and an onsite restaurant.

The vibrant, modern retirement community is set amongst landscaped gardens within the award-winning Greater Springfield community and is proving popular with retirees who wish to live close to family.

The communities second building opened late last year, adding to the options of independent living or apartments with services.

Like many of Aveo Springfield’s residents, Jan Burchardt now enjoys a carefree lifestyle after downsizing from her high-maintenance family home.

“I moved into my new two-bedroom apartment in January and haven’t looked back,” Jan said.

“I had been doing the mowing, whipper snipping and hedging myself at home, but it all got too hard.

“It was time to move on and I’d been planning this for a while. I have been warmly welcomed by the staff and other residents – I’ve found my forever home and I’m so happy here.’’

The modern community provides a range of top-class facilities including a heated pool, gym, library, lounge with a fireplace, community centre, movie auditorium, and consultation rooms for visiting allied health professionals.

Restaurant manager and chef, Meliza Martin, says the popular restaurant is open seven days a week serving lunch, afternoon tea and dinner to residents and their visiting family and friends.

“The onsite restaurant’s new chef Phillippe Achille de Baritault is a hit with residents, serving up delights from with his French-inspired menu items combined with the village’s favourites,” Meliza said.

For active residents there are exercise classes including aqua aerobics, tai chi, Pilates and walking groups.

Aveo Springfield is perfectly located close to Orion Shopping Centre, Mater Private Hospital and other health facilities. If you are curious about the retirement lifestyle offered at Aveo Springfield, you can attend an Open Home event on Saturday, May 27, 10am to noon.
