THE rapidly expanding Ripley corridor has received the news it has been waiting to hear with the Premier announcing the Ripley Satellite Hospital will open on Wednesday, August 30.
Anastacia Palaszczuk made the announcement at a public preview day at the hospital on Sunday which attracted almost 1000 local residents.
The hospital will be open seven days a week treating those with minor injuries and illness from 8am to 10pm.
Staffed by 30 doctors and nurses the hospital is the second of its type to open in Queensland.
Health Minister, Shannon Fentiman said West Moreton Health was swamped by applications for roles at the new hospital.
