A new season of SAS Australia is set to raise the stakes, with Australian and British celebrities thrown into a punishing desert course where endurance, discipline and mental resilience are tested to the extreme.
Fourteen high-profile recruits from sport, entertainment and social media will face a brutal selection process inspired by real SAS training, and filmed in the unforgiving conditions of North Africa.
Under the command of Chief Instructor Mark “Billy” Billingham, alongside directing staff Jason “Foxy” Fox, Rudy Reyes and Chris Oliver, participants will be stripped of status and comfort as they confront intense physical and psychological challenges.
This season introduces a competitive twist, pitting Team Australia against Team United Kingdom.
The international rivalry adds further pressure to an already relentless environment, where failure is immediate and there are no second chances.
A DIVERSE, HIGH-PROFILE CAST
The Australian lineup blends elite athletes, actors and reality personalities.
Among them is reality TV figure Jessika Power, who joins the course seeking to redefine her public image after years of controversy.
Former international cricketer Brad Hodge brings elite sporting experience, but says the challenge reshaped his priorities, reinforcing the importance of family over achievement.
Olympian Emily Seebohm, fresh from retirement, enters during a major life transition, motivated in part by motherhood but admitting the emotional strain proved tougher than the physical demands.
They are joined by a varied mix including actor and musician Axle Whitehead, Olympic gold medallist Mack Horton,
performer Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Neighbours actor Ryan Moloney.
The UK team is equally diverse, featuring reality stars Dani Dyer and Gabby Allen, social media personalities Cole Anderson-James and Jack Joseph, rugby player Ben Cohen, Olympian Toby Olubi and cricketer Graeme Swann.
NO FAME, NO FAVOURS
Despite their public profiles, all recruits face identical conditions. The format offers no allowances for celebrity status, with every mistake scrutinised and every weakness exposed.
The series focuses as much on psychological endurance as physical strength, with sleep deprivation, extreme heat and high-pressure scenarios designed to break even the most seasoned competitors.
Team dynamics, leadership and resilience under stress are central to success.
SAS: Australia v United Kingdom screens on the Seven Network and streams on 7plus.
