ARTISTS, performers, community groups and creatives across the Scenic Rim can now apply for funding to help turn their creative ideas into reality, with applications opening for the 2026-27 Regional Arts Development Fund.
Delivered through a partnership between Scenic Rim Regional Council and the Queensland Government, the program supports projects that celebrate the region’s identity, strengthen creative skills and deliver arts and cultural experiences across the Scenic Rim.
Scenic Rim Regional Council Community, Arts and Culture Portfolio Councillor Kerri Cryer said the grants continued to play a vital role in nurturing the region’s thriving creative community.
“The Scenic Rim has an abundance of local artists, creatives and grassroots organisations with a wealth of talent who all play an important role in enriching our community through projects that inspire and connect,” Cr Cryer said. “By connecting people through artistic collaborations, we build skills, strengthen community relationships and celebrate the unique identity that makes the Scenic Rim a centre of creativity.”
The funding program includes the new Big Idea Partnership Grants, offering up to $11,000 for collaborative arts projects involving artists, community organisations, businesses, schools, First Nations representatives and other partners.
Creatives aged 16 to 25 can apply year-round through the Launch Pad Young Creatives Grants, while the Express Lane Quick Response Grants provide support for professional development opportunities as they arise.
Applications close on September 2.
