WEST Moreton Anglican College (WestMAC) has been crowned the 2026 Trimester 1 Cricket Champion School in The Associated Schools (TAS) competition, capping off a commanding season across all divisions.

The College’s cricket program delivered an outstanding 23 wins, with consistent performances every Saturday underpinning its success.

WestMAC’s strength was particularly evident at the top level, where both the 1st XI and Intermediate 1st XI sides completed the season undefeated – a clear statement of the program’s quality and depth.

The achievement highlights not only the talent within the College’s cricket ranks, but also the discipline and commitment of its student athletes.

Backed by experienced coaching staff and a strong, supportive school community, WestMAC continues to cement its reputation as a TAS sporting powerhouse.

Participation levels were equally impressive, with 350 students representing the College across 38 teams, alongside a further 120 students competing in 13 Junior TAS teams.

With Trimester 1 now complete, attention turns to the next challenge.

The WestMAC Eagles will shift their focus to Trimester 2, which begins on Saturday, May 2, where they are expected to be strong contenders on the hockey field following the First XI’s undefeated 2025 season.
