ABC fans have a new series to rally behind: 9-1-1: Nashville, the latest addition to the franchise created by Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear and Rashad Raisani.

Set against the music-soaked backdrop of Nashville, Tennessee, this high-octane procedural shines a spotlight on a team of heroic firefighters, paramedics, and dispatchers balancing life-and-death rescues with epic family drama and local intrigue.

At the centre of the action is Captain Don Hart (Chris O’Donnell), a tough, rodeo-riding veteran leading Nashville’s busiest firehouse, home and office alike, with his son Ryan (Michael Provost).

The ensemble cast brings more star power: Jessica Capshaw stars as Blythe Hart, Don’s wife; Hailey Kilgore plays Taylor, a firefighter with a singing talent; Juani Feliz portrays Roxie, an ex-trauma surgeon turned adrenaline junkie; Hunter McVey, making his on-screen debut as “Blue”, a brooding firefighter with a mysterious past; LeAnn Rimes takes on the role of Dixie Bennings, Blue’s mother; and Kimberly Williams-Paisley appears as the 911 dispatcher, Cammie Raleigh

Recurring roles include Tim Matheson as the ruthless “Southern old money” figure Edward, and Gregory Alan Williams, who steps in as fire station chief Harold Foster

Viewers can expect explosive action, including a dramatic concert-storm disaster featuring country star Kane Brown guest-starring as himself in the premiere episode – where a tornado at his concert sends chaos through the crowd.

A jaw-dropping stunt sequence, involving a dangling Airstream flipping over Nashville’s Korean Veterans Memorial Bridge, was captured on camera and left fans buzzing about the show’s daring scope.
