SUPPORT: Ipswich Prostate Cancer Support Group Convenor, Dennis Ellis, with Agro, a familiar friend who backs the work of all groups working to educate and assist men facing prostate issues

THE Ipswich Prostate Cancer Support Group continues to provide vital support to men and their families facing a shock cancer diagnosis.

The group holds monthly meetings on the third Thursday of the month which alternate between a coffee
and chat and an evening meeting.

The group also interacts with local men through information sessions and fundraising events.

One such event is on September 15 when a fundraising lunch will be held at CSI North Ipswich.

Funds raised at the lunch will go towards the purchase of equipment to assist men undergoing treatment.

The prostate support group shares knowledge and raises awareness among men, particularly young men who think they are bullet proof and nothing like this will ever happen to them.

They are also raising funds for Prostate Cancer Care Nurses that support men and their families living with prostate cancer.
