THE Kenda 660 Drag Radial Series unleashed fury at Willowbank Raceway over the last week with plenty of the country’s fastest radial equipped drag cars taking to the famous track and throwing down some quality racing.
The thing with the Kenda 660 Drag Series is that its 8th mile racing, meaning its fast and the cars and bikes either hook up and go or pick the wheels up.
There is no in between and that’s exactly what happened with the fans experiencing some of the best action packed racing they could ever ask for.
Entrants from as far afield as WA took part with a field of more than 160 racers flocked to the final round of 2022 to take home the famous belts and cheques with more than $40k up for grabs.
“Even if you aren’t in contention for the championship its great racing and an awesome vibe” one of the series regulars. Nick Baxtor said.
Nick had a wild ride in 2021 putting his Lexus in the wall and over the last 12 months rebuilt the car and the good news is it has come back quicker and better than ever.
“The car had a few hiccups in testing so we took it home, took the engine out, changed parts and had it back to the track for race day”.
The changes worked with Nick leaving 2023 as the Radial Ruckus Champion of the Kenda 660 Series.
Radial Racing is jumping leaps and bounds with many of the best teams in building cars.
In 2022 the series keeps stepping the game up on all levels and many more upgrades are coming in 2023.
