THE Boonah & District Cultural Foundation Inc. celebrates individual and collective achievements and talents through inclusive festivals and activities.
The Ritchies Boonah Arts Festival has been running for over 20 years, with the incredible sponsorship and support from Ritchies Supa IGA, and provides opportunities for community members of all ages to perform, enter competitions and / or attend workshops and entertaining events, with all events being family friendly.
Run by an amazing band of dedicated volunteers, this annual week-long celebration of all things art and community will be held from Saturday, August 29 to Saturday, September 5, with a vibrant and inclusive program of events promoting the cultural heart of the community.
It is designed to inspire and showcase talent in art, writing, performance, and fashion, through competitions and exhibitions, or via live on the street and on stage performances.
It also encourages local authors to display their books for sale during the festival.
The community will be spoilt for choice with activities and can enjoy plenty of great entertainment, including the Youth Showcase featuring local children as young as four, buskers in the street, performances by The Boonah Playmakers, and more.
Sponsored by Ritchies Supa IGA and supported by the Scenic Rim Regional Council, it remains a major community event, featuring varied performances and a wide range of creative activities.
