BRISBANE dynamo Courtney Hodder has continued her red-hot form, starring in the Lions’ crucial 29-point AFLW win over Port Adelaide.

After a slow start at Springfield on Saturday, the Lions booted three unanswered goals in the second term to set up the 9.8 (62) to 4.9 (33) win.

It marked a perfect milestone for premiership captain Bre Koenen, who became just the third AFLW player to reach 100 games.

Koenen joined Lions teammate Ally Anderson and Adelaide star Ebony Marinoff in the 100 club.

An energetic small forward, Hodder still put damage on the scoreboard, but also caused havoc up the field and had two direct goal assists.

The 25-year-old kicked a stunning goal in the second quarter after pulling down a strong mark.

Hodder finished with 24 possessions and six tackles, backing up a best-on-ground performance in the Lions’ commanding QClash win over Gold Coast last week.

Dakota Davidson, Poppy Boltz and Orla O’Dwyer were also dangerous up forward, kicking two goals each
Brisbane’s fourth-straight win keeps the Lions in touch with the top-four, giving them a chance of securing a double chance.

Brisbane will travel to Windy Hill on Sunday to face struggling Essendon.
