FOR three days, from Friday through Sunday, the Ipswich Showgrounds will burst into life with the sights, sounds and spirit of one of the city’s most cherished community celebrations.

Ipswich Show promises a spectacular showcase of everything the city has to offer.

Families can expect a packed program of crowd favourites designed to delight children of all ages.

Beloved character Peppa Pig will headline the family entertainment lineup alongside Brophy’s Circus, Racing Ducks and the hugely popular Farm Babies petting experience in the Animal Precinct.

Sideshow Alley will once again deliver all the classic carnival fun, from thrilling rides and games to showbags overflowing with sweet treats and novelty goodies.

Adrenaline seekers won’t be disappointed, with a huge lineup of high-energy entertainment set to keep crowds on the edge of their seats.

Returning crowd favourites include Airtime FMX freestyle motocross, the Half Pipe Show, Rolly Polly Quads, Farmyard Dash and the wildly entertaining Brumby’s Run.

Visitors can also experience the Venomous Snake Show, marvel at the precision of the David Manchon Horsemanship Show and soak up the excitement of nightly fireworks displays lighting up the Ipswich skyline.

From gravity-defying stunts to fast-paced arena action, this year’s entertainment program promises non-stop excitement from morning through to night.

True to its roots, the Ipswich Show remains a proud celebration of the region’s agricultural heritage.

Traditional crowd favourites including Chainsaw Racing, Dog High Jump demonstrations, Sheepdog Shows and the iconic Woodchop Contests will again take centre stage, showcasing rural skills passed down through generations.

Animal lovers can wander through the bustling Animal Precinct featuring Baby Chick Nurseries, Black Nose Sheep and Mini Highland Cows, while the Historical Precinct will transport visitors back in time with Penny Farthing displays, whip cracking demonstrations and live blacksmithing.

Equestrian events in the Main Arena, community gardens and heritage group displays will further highlight the deep connection between Ipswich and its rural traditions.

A cornerstone of the Show remains its much-loved competitions program, celebrating local creativity, craftsmanship and skill across categories including Fine Art, Creative Craft, Cookery, Woodcraft, Horticulture, Apiculture and Amateur Wine.

This year has seen exceptional participation levels, with pavilions expected to overflow with impressive displays from talented locals of all ages.

The Show will also feature an enormous range of market stalls and exhibitors offering everything from handcrafted homewares and artisan jewellery to gourmet treats, boutique fashion and country apparel.

Ipswich Show Society President Darren Zanow said the event would continue to play an important role in promoting Ipswich as a vibrant destination for visitors.

“The 2026 Ipswich Show is set to deliver action, atmosphere and a real sense of community pride,” he said.

“We’re proud to welcome visitors from across Queensland and beyond to experience everything Ipswich has to offer.

“The Show is where tradition meets celebration, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase Ipswich as a city that continues to grow, welcome and inspire.”
