A CONVINCING poker face could be worth up to $250,000, with The Traitors Australia opening applications for an all-civilian fourth season in 2027.
Gretel Killeen will return as host as a new group of everyday Australians enters Claremont Manor in New Zealand, where friendships can unravel and trusting the wrong person can end a contestant’s game.
Players must identify the secret Traitors among them while navigating challenges, accusations and banishments in pursuit of a share of the prize.
The renewal follows a successful revival in 2026, which averaged 817,000 national Total TV viewers across the season – up 69 per cent on the 2023 average, according to TV Blackbox.
Kirby Bentley won the revived season, becoming the first Traitor to reach the end and win the Australian version.
The next season will move to an entirely civilian cast, giving viewers the opportunity to step into the game themselves.
Killeen welcomed the prospect of fresh recruits with a warning suited to the show’s mischievous tone.
“All of us at Claremont Manor are thrilled to the point of palpitations to have every day Australians come and play with us in 2027,” she said.
“But I do hope they don’t wear anything synthetic because it’s so much more difficult to dispose of a body dressed in fabrics that don’t decompose.”
Produced for Network 10 by South Pacific Pictures, the series is filmed at Claremont Manor in South Canterbury.
Applications are open at 10.com.au/casting.
