A showcase of artworks in all styles and photography by members of U3A will be on display for public viewing at the Ipswich Community Gallery in D’Arcy Doyle Place, Ipswich Central from this Friday, through to the August 26.
The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 2pm and admission is free.
The artists are all members of U3A Ipswich and West Moreton and this is their third joint exhibition in Ipswich.

Photography Tutor and organiser of the exhibition, Wayne McDonnell, said the members were excited to have their work hanging in an exhibition to be viewed by their family and friends as well as the general public.
“U3A recognises the value of the arts to those in the community who have retired from the workforce and are looking to increase their learning and meet new friends,” he said.
“It emphasises the importance U3A is as a valuable organisation in our city.”

The idea of an organisation, like U3A, run solely by volunteers is inspirational especially today with such busy lives, giving time to help others is what U3A does.
Being a volunteer is a selfless act of giving.
The official opening of the event will be on August 19 at 2pm.
